Ashtin N. Romesberg is an experienced litigation attorney with a diverse background spanning public service, civil litigation, and private defense. Ashtin brings a comprehensive understanding of the full litigation lifecycle such as initial case intake and discovery, complex motion practice, hearings, and trial. Ashtin brings exceptional research, analytical writing, and appellate writing capabilities to all of her professional endeavors.
Throughout her legal career, Ashtin has cultivated expertise across public law, civil litigation, and criminal prosecution. As an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for the Muskingum County Prosecutor’s office, she regularly represented Muskingum County Job and Family Services (Child Support Division) in weekly civil hearings. She also advised Agency officials on administrative rights and managed appellate matters.
Her public sector experience includes serving as an Assistant City Attorney for Columbus City Attorney, Zach Klein. In this capacity she prosecuted misdemeanor crimes, conducted extensive legal research, and managed all phases of trial litigation, including trials and preliminary hearings. In the private sector, Ashtin has represented insurance carriers and individuals in civil insurance cases as well as representing consumers and individuals in litigation matters.
Ashtin earned her Juris Doctorate from Capital University Law School, where she received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Administrative Law, among other accolades. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Cincinnati. She enjoys spending time with her children, reading, yoga, and being in nature.
